HKUST Summer Institute 2020 for Senior Secondary School Students – Online & Face-to-face Teaching Mode

HKUST Summer Institute aims at providing an opportunity for high school students to experience the vibrant university life at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) and prepare them for future study. More than 4,500 senior secondary school students have participated in our Institute since 2012. We are eager to extend this inspiring and enjoyable summer experience to high school students who are interested in experiencing life at HKUST.

What We Offer

A wide range of credit-bearing courses are offered and delivered by our faculty members from the Schools of Science, Engineering, Business and Management, as well as Humanities and Social Science. In addition to learning new scopes of knowledge, students can broaden their perspectives, and develop their social and professional networks through our online courses*. Aspiring students are welcome to apply and to earn the course credit that can be counted towards students' undergraduate studies at HKUST in the future.

*In consideration of the uncertain situation of the COVID-19 outbreak, Summer Institute 2020 will adopt an online teaching mode. If situation allows, we will offer face-to-face sessions and the final arrangement will be announced in mid-June.

Students completing S4 or S5 or with equivalent qualifications by the time they attend the courses are invited to participate in the Summer Institute to discover their strengths and interests through interactive classes.
