Perseverance

Good morning, everyone! This is Ms Agnes Choi.

Exams come soon. What I am going to talk about is perseverance. This is one of the key qualities that you need to reach success.

Persistence almost always leads to success. No matter what area your goals have to do with, but if you persevere, you will succeed.

In fact, your persistence has helped you learn to walk, to talk and to write. You have succeeded in all these.

You may be active, but it doesn’t mean that you move forward. If you don’t move forward, you will not achieve success. Instead, you need practice. Everything fails you if you have no practice. Therefore, before examinations, you need to review your notes and practise practice papers to be more ready for the coming examinations.

The key way to develop perseverance is to take small steps which can result in small achievements. Small achievements lead to a big success. Think about creating a puzzle: you add piece by piece and finally get the final image, right?

What’s more, the path to success can’t exist without failures. The most important thing is to learn from these failures and to continue moving forward. Do not give up. Take the necessary lesson, and move on towards success.

Therefore, if you target to achieve higher and get better results in the coming examinations, you need to continue making efforts.

There is a Confucius saying that goes

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

Work hard! Do not let laziness lead your way. Be persistent and perseverant. You will finally succeed.
