Hi Sal,

It was so great to hear from you.  Sorry I haven’t been in touch for ages.  Life is really busy — like a rollercoaster at times!

Things are going really well here now that I’ve settled down at the new school.  Everyone’s extremely friendly and all my new teachers are cool.  Well, almost all.

School is really cool, actually.  It’s not as big as SFCC, but the classrooms are modern, and it has a huge, Olympic-sized pool — you’d love it!

Please give my love to Tommy when you see him.  I often think about our wonderful holiday last year.  We must do it again — soon!

Love,

C.  Seen Passage (35 marks)

2 marks will be deducted for each misspelled word/repeated word, and 1 mark for each punctuation mistake

I am here today to talk to you about positive thinking in your studies.  Having a positive attitude is very important.  For this reason, I would like to encourage you to come to our special workshops that begin next week.

A positive attitude to learning gives you a head start.  Promise yourself that whatever you do, you will do your best.  Don’t say ‘I can’t’ or ‘I give up’.     Do not compare yourself to others.  Only compare how you were in the past to how you are now, and try to learn a little more every day.

To find out more about how positive thinking can help you, come to the workshop which starts this Thursday at 6 p.m.  Also, two workshops on ‘How to motivate yourself’ are held on Tuesday and Friday at 4 p.m.  Our education experts will give you professional advice on how to improve your motivation.  Thank you for your attention.  Wish you success in your new school year.
