Sally: Good morning, principal, teachers, and fellow students. I am Sally from 5A.

Tony: I am Tony from 5A. Today, we would like to tell you the topic of the English Speaking Day today. The topic today is SFCC. Sally, do you know what SFCC is?

Sally: Sun Fong Chung College. Other than that, S stands for ‘Self-motivated in learning’. Self-motivated in learning means the students will be willing to learn any knowledge energetically. They learn without being asked by teachers. They take notes and do revision on their own. They also learn outside the classroom.

Tony: You are right. In 5A, I think Kelvin is extremely proactive and diligent in his academic studies. And I would like to learn from him. Let me tell you about the second letter, ‘F’. F stands for ‘fluent in Putonghua and English’. Being fluent in English and Putonghua is especially significant in the society today. Many education and career opportunities require fluency in Putonghua and English.

Sally: In our class, I think Crystal is very fluent in both languages. She is smart. What about C?

Tony: C stands for creative. Students are able to use brand new ways to solve a problem and they have innovations. Our school continuously cultivates students to be innovative and provides us with many opportunities for competitions. Last year, we won champions at the Science Park.

Sally: Congratulations! Let me share the last letter, ‘C’. C stands for ‘Character-driven’. Character is a good personality like being diligent, responsible, trustworthy, and prudent. We should be well behaved. No matter we study or work, we should have good conduct in all aspects.
