The college recently opened an ‘English Garden’. Students can meet at lunchtime or after school to sit and talk in English with each other, or with our NET teachers, and other English teachers.
At the opening of our garden, over one hundred students joined in games, competitions, and a concert with teachers singing English songs. The students joined in enthusiastically, learning by doing. We hope to build on this atmosphere by making this area a centre for English use in our college. It will be the centre for many of our English Week activities in March of this year.
It is our English Panel’s aim that all of our students become comfortable using English and attain a degree of English fluency. Fun extra curricular activities like the English Fun Fair are central to achieving this aim. |
