Good morning, everyone! This is Ms Agnes Choi.

This morning, I would like to share with you the reasons why we need to study English. To many of you, English is an alien language. You may never read, write or listen to the language, except during English lessons!

In fact, there are a few reasons to learn English.

1.        English is the most commonly used language among foreign language speakers. Throughout the world, when people with different languages come together, they commonly use English to communicate.

2.        Knowing English will make you bilingual, or even trilingual. More importantly, you will be more employable in every country in the world.

3.      English is based on alphabets and, compared to Chinese, can be learned fairly quickly.

Students, do not hesitate. Read and use English more. You will find this language beautiful and useful.
